Ken’s aim is to provide each client with the best recording possible and an inspiring and comfortable environment in which to create it. For nearly three decades Outer Limit Recording Studio has been the preferred choice of national recording artists like D-12, Eminem, Smokepurpp, Raheem DeVaughn and for recording artists throughout Western New York, to cities up and down the East Coast, stretching even as far south as Atlanta.

Biography

A well-stocked control room means nothing without a talented producer and engineer in the chair. Now the sole owner of Outer Limit, Ken co-founded the studio 29 years ago and has steadily earned respect as a recording engineer and producer since his studio doors opened in 1993. With decades of experience playing rock, jazz, classical, and a newfound genius for hip-hop producing and recording, he has gained tremendous notoriety and attention since adding Grammy-Award-winning artists Eminem and D-12 to his client list. He’s also worked with Raheem DeVaughn, Donnel Jackson, and Smokepurpp from the national scene, has mastered music for Fat Joe and DJ Khaled and literally THOUSANDS of local, and regional artists including legends including many renowned members of Rick James’ band, session musicians from all over the country, and dozens of musicians who have been inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.

Proficient in several instruments, Ken’s musical background of over 30 years is among the most extensive and thorough anywhere. All of these factors make it undeniable that he is the best choice to make any project the best it can be.

Ken’s college education in Sound Recording Technology – a degree which he captured with honors – is only a small portion of the education and experience that makes him the engineer that people ask for again and again. The experience that Ken has accrued – along with his incredible musical ability, lets him rival engineers and producers from NYC, LA and Toronto. This explains why so many of his that move out of the area end up taking the trip back to Buffalo for days at a time to reconnect and make magic.

Wayne Raymondo

Biography

A native of Fall River, MA, Wayne Raymondo has been pursuing music for the majority of his life. Wayne graduated Manga Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, with a degree in Music Education and Jazz Guitar.

Wayne’s keen ear and musical instincts, as well as the expert tutelage of Ken Rutkowski, have led to a successful turn in engineering. Wayne has worked on numerous projects resulting in enthusiastic praise from Outer Limit’s clients.

In addition to his talent in mixing, Wayne is a versatile musician who is capable of producing eclectic guitar and bass parts for any project. Wayne’s innate musical ability coupled with his passion for engineering make him a vital element of the Outer Limit team and an invaluable resource for helping clients to realize their musical aspirations.

Internship Program

We do need interns on a regular basis. If you are responsible, driven, and musically talented – that means you have theory training and the ability to play at least one instrument fluently – contact us with a resume’. We always love bringing talented people on-board and spreading every bit of knowledge that we can.
